The family component is one of the most vital variables in the education of a child. Several dynamics within the family impacts a students success. These things included such areas as SES and parents' highest level of education. The following articles show one reoccurring theme; students who have strong "family" support in all areas tended to do better with both behavioral and academic issues.
Even though family traditionally defined appears to produced students who score better on standardized test and seem to have fewer behaioral issues, family can be extended far beyond the biological parents. Anyone who takes interest in a child can produce similar "family" results.
